US Session After Opening Bell, Wednesday September 4

As the U.S. trading session gets underway, the Dow Jones is showing modest gains, up by 112.40 points or 0.27%, currently trading at 41,049.33. The broader market is mixed, with the S&P 500 slightly down by 6.37 points or 0.12%, trading at 5,522.56, and the Nasdaq seeing a more significant drop of 67.56 points or 0.39%, currently at 17,068.73. The Small Cap 2000 index is also under pressure, down by 15.86 points or 0.74%, trading at 2,133.35. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 VIX, which measures market volatility, has risen by 3.43% to 21.43, indicating an uptick in market uncertainty as trading continues.

In the stock market, Nvidia is down by 0.55%, trading at $107.41, while Tesla is performing well, up by 2.20% at $215.24. Amazon.com is facing some selling pressure, down by 1.29%, with shares currently at $173.98.

In the commodities market, gold is down by 0.31%, currently trading at $2,515.20 per ounce, while crude oil prices are also lower.
